What is a Unit Commissioner and What do they do?
A Unit Commissioner...
Helps each Unit earn the Quality Unit Award.
Knows each phase of the Scouting program.
Attends Units' meetings, assesses its needs and helps it succeed.
Visits Unit Leaders and Committee Meetings.
Helps relationships between the Unit Leader and the Chartered Organization Leaders.
Uses District and Council resources to help Units.
Continues growth through training.
Encourages Leaders of Units to receive adequate training.
Helps with on-time charter renewal.
Sets a good Scouting example and helps to serve as a link between the District and the Units.
These are just some of the important duties of a Unit Commissioner.
