Note: Prerequisite for this course is approval of Scoutmaster. Signature is required on the attached form. It is recommended that the Scout be First Class or thirteen years old, but can be younger if he is mature enough to handle the position.
Our primary reference material is the Den Chief Handbook, so don't forget to bring it with you to the class. Additional materials will be handed out to enhance this learning experience. It is recommended that the Scout bring a blank folder or loose-leaf binder to keep this material in order for future reference.
This training works best when the Boy Scout and the Cub/Webelos Den Leader go through the training together. It is recommended that the Pack and Troop share the cost of the fee for the Den Chief. The Cubmaster of the Pack should also attend, as well as any Troop Leadership.
